From The Mountains of Hunan Province
The mountains of western Hunan Province are a bastion of ancient tea-making traditions. Its rich, fertile landscapes, nurtured by misty climates and mineral-rich soils, have made it a prolific grower of some of the world’s most revered teas. The region’s deep-rooted history in tea cultivation stretches back centuries, making Western Hunan a true sanctuary for tea enthusiasts.
Grown at 750-950 meters, our base is the Mao Jian — one of the world’s most delicate green teas and a specialty of the region. The tea is picked by hand and prepared then set aside until the Jasmine blossoms — also from the region — are ready. The two are paired at just the right time to create this harmony of flavor.
Fresh Plucked Jasmine Blossoms
Once the green tea is ready, it is picked by hand, prepared and then set aside until the Jasmine blossoms are ready to be blended in.
Fresh-plucked jasmine blossoms bring a floral and fragrant aroma that is both delicate and strikingly robust. Their unique character pairs exquisitely with the gentle Mao Jian tea, creating a luxurious blend reminiscent of the teas served in Hong Kong’s opulent dim sum eateries.
This pairing offers an evocative dance of flavors, where the jasmine’s intoxicating scent and the tea’s subtle grace converge in a cup of unparalleled elegance.
